Relume x Figma: Exploring Interactivity for Absolute Newbies

At a glance

The community member is a newbie who is enjoying using Relume x Figma, but is wondering why the components do not seem to have any interactivity working. Another community member, Matt, responds that Figma and the Site Builder currently do not have a way to preview interactions, but they are working on adding a preview mode to the Site Builder, though they do not have an estimated time for its release. The original community member is glad they are not missing anything. They then ask if it is best practice to update the style guide if they are building directly in Figma with all the components, or if it is better to start a new project and copy them in. However, Matt does not understand this question and asks the community member to expand on what they are trying to do.

Hi, Absolute newbie here – I'm loving Relume x Figma so far on first play - but just checking if I'm missing anything, none of the componenets seem to have their interactivity working? Or ami I missing something? probably!

@Dave in both Figma and Site Builder we do not currently have a way to preview interactions. We're working on preview mode in site builder but we have no ETA on that. So no, you are not missing anything. Welcome to Relume! πŸ™Œ

Thanks for the speedy reply Matt – glad I'm not missing anything. Quick final question, is it best practice to update the style guide if I'm building straight in Figma with all the components? Or is it best to start a new project and copy them in? thanks in advance

@Dave no worries - not following on your question though - mind expanding on what it is you are trying to do?
