Renaming Sections Before Copying to Webflow

Hey Ravi,
I usually do not rename sections until I am done designing the Section. When I am done I use the Finsweet Chrome Extention to rename all classes. Go Check it out: https://finsweet.com/extension

So let’s say:

• you use the relume site builder
• then you copy the site into WF
• there you design them
• and then you rename them using the finsweet extension to rename?

Exactly, lets say u have"section_component442" with elements inside named "component442_whatever". After designing I will use the chrome extention and switch all "component442" with a more describing name like "testimonial". This would change "component442_whatever" to "testimonial_whatever". YOu would then only need to change section_component442 to section_testimonal by hand. Keep in mind that you need to follow the client first framework to make this work.

Yes! Exactly this is what i was struggling with, these nested names that you to dig deep to change 😃
